The entire RCLCO team recently gathered in Santa Monica, CA, one of our four office locations, to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and participate in team building. CEO Gadi Kaufmann shared with us where we are in our five year strategic plan, and we were joined by our founder, Bob Lesser, for an intimate and enlightening conversation. It’s amazing how far we’ve come in the 45 years since we opened our doors.

Founder’s Corner: A Discussion with Bob Lesser

A good part of the three day conversation was about innovation. When asked how innovation influenced the founding of RCLCO 45 years ago, Bob Lesser commented that he “saw an opportunity to take market research as it was being done for consumer products, and translate it into a 3-dimension product for real estate - we added value by helping clients make more money by delivering a better product to their market. Although I was no longer acting as an architect, we never left architecture because we always thought about the end result.”

Site Visit

A highlight of the event was being treated to an exclusive site tour of Related California’s $350 Million development, The Village at Santa Monica. Steps from the beach, The Village at Santa Monica is an urban mix of 318 luxury condominiums and affordable rental apartments, 20,000 square feet of retail and restaurants, and walkable plazas and gardens.
