ULI CDC-Gold: Healthy Communities: Designing, Building, & Programming MPCs to Support Total Well-Being

There is a strong appetite for healthy communities, from the physical design encouraging healthy living, use of appropriate building materials and systems in homes, partnerships with health/wellness providers, and incorporating emerging technologies. In this session we’ll learn about how that is being implemented at Lake Nona, a top 10 selling MPC with two new hospitals, three college campuses, a nationally recognized medical research institute, and thousands of new homes. We will also learn about The District, an urban MPC concept being designed as a place where residents will have everything they need to live the most healthful of lives, promoting fitness and healthy living.
